Lake Lure is currently in the process of being refilled following recent restoration efforts, with water levels steadily rising since early February 2026. As of now, the lake is just several feet below full pond, and depending on rainfall, it is expected to reach full or near-full levels by late April to May 2026. The town is actively working toward having the lake fully ready for visitors by Memorial Day weekend. Guests staying at our home on Hickory Trail can look forward to enjoying the lake as it returns to its full beauty, making it a great time to plan your visit and experience everything the Lake Lure and Chimney Rock area has to offer.
The neighborhood is private and gated. Roads are paved and accessible — no 4WD required, though the area is naturally hilly.

Excellent stay. Easiest check in ever. Stunning views of Chimney Rock and the mountain face from the patio and hot tub - pictures do not even do it justice. Beautiful spacious home. We will be back and thankful to the hosts for such an easy, clean and stress free stay.
We had a great stay at Thomas and Elizabeth’s place. They answered our question about the hot tub and fire pit, were extremely responsive, and have a great place with a breathtaking view of Hickory Nit Falls and Chimney Rock. While the area is obviously still recovering and rebuilding, it is humbling to see the area and help bring revenue to the area. Thank you for having us!

Beautiful home with amazing views. Hosts were nice and very quick to respond to any questions. I believe this is the nicest home I’ve booked in all my years. The two decks were great outdoor hang out spots. Indoors was comfy cozy. If you have the opportunity to book this home DO IT!
Our stay was absolutely lovely. We stayed for almost a week for our honeymoon and one of my favorite memories from this trip was having breakfast on the deck with the beautiful views. We felt cozy and had everything we needed.
ABSOLUTELY the most gorgeous Airbnb we’ve stayed in! The views are like no other. We sat on the back porch listening to the river water flowing and admiring the beauty of Chimney Rock. Chimney Rock Village is actually in walking distance. We loved the smoked drumsticks at Chimney Rock Smokehouse and ate there several times. We also saw two baby bears crossing Main Street. Our perfect day was hiking Chimney Rock, followed up by stargazing in the hot tub, and we ended the night watching Last of the Mohicans that was filmed where we hiked. Thomas is an exceptional host with professional communication skills. When we walked into the home and saw the stunning views we immediately started planning our next stay. Can’t wait to come back!

This bnb was remarkable. Both the place itself and its location in the mountains in Chimney Rock were gorgeous. The cleaners did a 5 star job on the entire house and one thing that stood out to us is there wasn't even a crumb on the hard floors. You could walk in socks or barefoot without stepping on anything at all. The view is absolutely one of the best things about the place. Its pretty cool to see the waterfall at the top of the mountain from the balcony or living room view and you can hear it, too. The master bathroom shower was very relaxing. The water pressure, temperature, and included soap and hair products are very soothing. we loved the small selection of boardgames that are available, especially scrabble. One nice extra touch was the monocular that is available to use to view the mountains. The laundry and dryer are very nice if you want to pack only a few outfits. Absolutely love this bnb, could go on about it if airbnb allowed a longer message!
My family loved our stay! The view was gorgeous! We very much enjoyed relaxing out on the porch, enjoying the scenery. The house had everything we needed as well. We will definitely want to return again sometime.
We had a wonderful stay in Chimney Rock! The home was beautiful, comfortable, and in a great location with STUNNING mountain views! One of the biggest selling points for us was the fully fenced yard — so hard to find in a mountain house and it was absolutely perfect for our dogs! The cabin was clean, well stocked, cozy, and made for the perfect getaway. We would absolutely stay here again!
