Step inside to a big, open great room with high ceilings and warm pine walls and plenty of space for the whole group to spread out. It opens to a comfortable dining area and a fully equipped kitchen with a gas range, so whoever's cooking stays part of the conversation. Up on the open loft, a second living area overlooks the great room and comes with a bubble hockey table, so there's even more room to gather, whether that's coffee at sunrise or a movie after the kids are down.
Downstairs is where the fun lives. The finished basement is a dedicated entertainment zone with a full-size pool table, a cozy lounge, a wet bar, and extra dining. Rack up a game of pool, pull a board game off the shelf, and watch the afternoon disappear. It's the rainy-day headquarters and after-hours hangout for teens and grown-ups alike. Out in the garage there's a ping pong table too, for when the pool table has a line.
The bedrooms are just as inviting: two king suites, two queen rooms, a fun bunk room for the kids, and a comfortable sleeper sofa. One upstairs bedroom even has a dedicated desk and workspace, so a remote workday (or a quiet corner to answer emails) is easy.
Outside is pure cabin magic. Soak under the trees in the private hot tub on the covered porch, sway on the porch swing, or settle into a couch on the wrap-around covered porch and watch the woods. The big, flat lawn comes stocked with a whole kit of outdoor games: cornhole, a disc golf target, KanJam, badminton, a basketball hoop, and more, plus a gas grill and a picnic table. On ten private acres, the kids can run and the grown-ups can finally exhale.
You're perfectly placed to explore, too: about 10 minutes from Round Peak Vineyards and the heart of Yadkin Valley wine country, 20 to 25 minutes from downtown Mount Airy, the real-life "Mayberry" that inspired The Andy Griffith Show, with its museum, Snappy Lunch, and Main Street charm. For hiking, the Blue Ridge Parkway is about 20 minutes away and Pilot Mountain 30 to 40.
